FirstClass and FirstClass Express Legacy Management Systems
FirstClass

FirstClass is the leading legacy management system used by
charities in the UK. FirstClass is successfully used by a large number of major
national charities including the British Heart Foundation, Cancer Research UK,
Cats Protection, Guide Dogs for the Blind, NSPCC, Oxfam, RSPCA, UNICEF and WWF-UK.
FirstClass was first designed by a group of leading charities in 1991. It is
continually updated to meet the developing requirements of legacy management
and to keep up to date with the latest developments in computer technology.
FirstClass enables legacy staff to keep track of all bequests made to their
charity. They can record all the important details about each legator and
bequest together with estimated values, income received to date, review dates
and a complete contact history. Sophisticated reporting tools, including over
40 built-in financial and management reports, provide instant access to
information whenever required. FirstClass also provides a complete range of customisable
standard letters. Additionally FirstClass can be tailored to work in the
specific way required by each individual charity.
FirstClass Express

FirstClass Express has been developed from the existing FirstClass system and
offers many of the core features already available in the full FirstClass
product. Also, FirstClass Express has been streamlined for use by charities
with remote access and a smaller number of legacies.
With a small setup fee and a low, fixed, monthly licence cost, FirstClass
Express has been designed to meet the needs of the smaller charity at an
affordable price. FirstClass Express is installed on our Internet server and is
maintained by Clearwater. In many cases nothing needs to be installed on your
PC before you can start using FirstClass Express
Users of FirstClass Express include Mind, Sense, St Dunstan’s and YMCA.
Technical Support
The team operate a help desk inside normal office hours. Calls taken are
input to the Support Log within our in-house intranet system to
ensure action, solution and an audit trail for each task.
