FirstClass

Q. What exactly is FirstClass?
A. FirstClass is a state-of-the-art legacy management system widely used by charities nationwide to enhance control and efficiency across all aspects of their operations.

Q. How much does FirstClass cost?
A. The cost of FirstClass depends solely on how many concurrent users you expect to have within your organisation. Please contact us for more information.

Q. What happens if the need for the number of concurrent users within my organisation increases over time?
A. We can provide you with a quote for the additional licenses at any time.

Q. What is included in the price of FirstClass?
A. In addition to the FirstClass software, full system installation and configuration (client computers and the database) will be included along with comprehensive training.

Q. What does FirstClass use for printing reports?
A. FirstClass uses Crystal Reports for all reports which are installed as part of the client installation.

Q. What does FirstClass use for printing letters?
A. FirstClass uses Microsoft Word for printing letters. Therefore, to be able to print letters within FirstClass, each computer must have Microsoft Word installed (version 2000 or later). Licensing for any Microsoft Office products will be the responsibility of the client.

Q. Once installed and running, will FirstClass be supported?
A. An optional support contract can be taken out with us which offers unlimited telephone and email support. This is usually taken out on an annual basis but we would be happy to discuss your individual requirements.

Q. We have an existing legacy management system at the moment and are interested in moving to FirstClass. Can our existing data be moved to FirstClass?
A. Yes. Many of our clients have chosen FirstClass as their upgrade to an existing system. Data from Access databases, Excel spreadsheets, flat text files, dBase databases, etc, have all been successfully extracted and imported into the FirstClass database.

Q. We have a supporter database in use at the moment. Can FirstClass be integrated with our supporter database?
A. We have recently developed links from FirstClass to other database systems such as Care and Raiser’s Edge

Q. I often work from home, does this suit?
A. Yes, all case data is stored securely and can be accessed remotely via the internet.

Q. I have a limited budget, can I still install and use the system?
A. The system has been pioneered for the moderate user, and priced accordingly.
